For no apparent reason, despite the morphine, I did not get much sleep.

I did however manage to eat a huge breakfast.

My surgeon arrived with all the other surgeons to see me and discuss how the operation went.

My wife and son came for a visit, this was our wedding anniversary.

15:00 The physio got me out of bed and sitting up, and gave me an exercise sheet to practice

16:30pm Back into bed, very tired, and cannot concentrate on anything

My hip was sore like a large graze. The morphine is stopping the pain but makes me feel quite drowsy.

When mobilising I tire easily and feel lightheaded.

I was very dehydrated with the heat, and drank 8 water jusgs (.75 litre each) in the day
